Moringa oleifera, known as the "miracle tree", originally comes from India. It is a very hardy tree that can grow in extremely harsh conditions. All its parts are useful, but the most valuable are the leaves, which have been used in Ayurveda for centuries. Due to their original herbal taste, moringa leaves are also used in cooking – they can be added to salads, soups, smoothies, pastes or yoghurts. They can also be used to prepare an herbal infusion or added to tea or yerba mate.
